More, More, More: 3 Exciting SFF Sequels Coming in 2026
⚓ Books 📅 2025-12-18 👤 surdeus 👁️ 8One of the many exciting things about a new year is all the sequels that are released. And there are a lot that I am looking forward to in 2026! There are editions to big series like the eighth Murderbot, Platform Decay, and the eleventh Wayward Children book, Through Gates of Garnet and Gold. I am over the moon that we get another adventure with Ana and Din, A Trade of Blood, from Robert Jackson Bennett’s Shadow of the Leviathan series, and I am going to try and make 2026 the year I finally read Nghi Vo’s Singing Hills Cycle, which will grow in May with A Long and Speaking Silence.
Of course, my evergreen wish every year is for news of Alecto the Ninth from Tamysn Muir, the next book in the Locked Tomb series, but I understand we will get it when we get it. I would rather put my energy into reading other books (and re-reading the first three in the series) while we wait than whining about it. (But we wantsssss the precioussssssss.)
So, those are just a few of the sequels I am excited about, plus these three below that also made me go “EEEEEEEE!” when I learned about them. Maybe you’ll go “EEEEEEEE!” too—let’s find out! (Note: All the descriptions are for the first in the series to avoid any spoilers.)
