Originally published in Superboy #71 in 1959, โ€œBad Boy Clark Kent!โ€ is a fun bit of Silver Age goofiness with a logic all its own. The minute I read this story from the reprint in Adventure Comics #326, I knew I had to share it with everybody.

We begin at Smallville High, where goodie-two-shoes Clark is helping the principal store vaccines intended for the student body. We later find out thereโ€™s some sort of terrible disease going around. They never tell us what it is, and it doesnโ€™t matter anyway. Letโ€™s call it MacGuffinโ€˜s disease.

As soon as Clark gets to his first class, the model student goes out the window and is replaced by a prankster who sets a mechanical mouse loose in the classroom. The teacher is willing to let it go, but that proves to be a mistake as the pranks continue. One involves him disrupting a racist history project (completely justified, as far as Iโ€™m concerned), and a really epic one has him stealing the school octopus (which they have for some reason???) and putting it in the swimming pool.
