The 2025 Eisner Awards, one of the most prestigious awards given to comics, were presented at the San Diego Comic Con this weekend. They are given to comics published in the United States in the previous year, though creators themselves do not need to be American.

The award began in 1988, and it is named after comics pioneer Will Eisner. As of 2025, Eisners are given in 32 categories. There are also awards given to honor excellence in writing, newcomers to comics, best retailer, and more. Twenty-eight comics creators were inducted into the hall of fame; 21 were selected by judges and seven were elected by voters.

Two comics took home multiple honors this year, including Lunar New Year Love Story by Gene Luen Yang and LeUyen Pham in three categories and David Mazzucchelli’s Batman Year One Artist’s Edition in two categories.

Here’s a look at winners across several categories:

• Best single issue/one shot: The War on Gaza by Joe Sacco 
• Best continuing series: Santos Sisters by Greg & Fake, Graham Smith, Dave Landsberger, and Marc Koprinarov
• Best limited series: Zatanna: Bring Down the House by Mariko Tamaki and Javier Rodriguez
• Best new series: Absolute Wonder Woman by Kelly Thompson and Hayden Sherman
• Best humor publication: Processing: 100 Comics That Got Me Through It by Tara Booth
• Best publication for kids: Plain Jane and the Mermaid by Vera Brosgol 
• Best publication for teens: Lunar New Year Love Story by Gene Luen Yang and LeUyen Pham
• Best graphic memoir: Feeding Ghosts: A Graphic Memoir by Tessa Hulls
• Best adaptation from another medium: The Road by Cormac McCarthy, adapted by Manu Larcenet
• Best digital comic: My Journey to Her by Yuna Hirasawa
