July has been a big reading month for me. I think it’s because I’ve really embraced reading outside. Luckily, the weather has been cooperating. I spent a day at the beach and read a 400 page romantasy novel cover-to-cover. I read most of romance novel in a few sittings looking out over the river. And I’ve made a ton of progress reading on the back porch, now that I finally have a patio umbrella. (It’s a game changer for outdoor reading.)
And, of course, most of those books have been queer. I’ve read 10 LGBTQ books since I updated you last, including a sapphic selkie/vampire romantasy, queer short stories set in Hawai’i, a lesbian graphic novel about motorcycle jousting, an M/M/M/M love story, a nonbinary middle grade graphic novel set at music summer camp, and more. Here are my favourites (and least favourites).
