Science fiction and fantasy are among the most popular genres on Book Riot. This isn’t surprising considering how popular both genres have gotten, even amongst more generalized readers. This is especially true for fantasy/romantasy because of BookTok.
The past few years, some of the most popular movies and shows—from alien escapades to depressing dystopias and more—have been based on sci-fi books. It’s this collective love for sci-fi books that I’m channeling with the list of bookish goodies below. Pick up Cyberpunk bookmarks, an Octavia Butler shirt, and even a couple unique and science ficiton-y book nooks.

Not going to lie, I would absolutely forget I had an alien book end in the middle of the night, and get scared seeing huge eyes looking at me from my bookshelf, but I suppose that only adds to the fun. $45

Leaving reality is low-key (high-key?) the main reason I read sci-fi and fantasy. Let others know why you read sci-fi with this cutesy Entering Sci-Fi Sticker. $3

“Octavia Butler told y’all” is a bit of an understatement (real ones know), so make sure everyone knows what time it is with this Octavia Butler shirt. $28+

The subgenre cyberpunk is said to have originated, at least partially, from the writings of William Gibson. If you’re unfamiliar, it’s the mixture of a depressing capitalistic setting with super futuristic trappings, with a little nostalgia thrown in. The show, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, which this bookmark is based on, is a perfect representation of that (plus, it will have you crying in the club).
Get this Cyberpunk Bookmark for $15

This Is How You Lose the Time War is another sci-fi book, albeit a time-jumping and sapphic one, that will tug at the tear ducts. It’s also Bigolas Dickolas approved.
