The Bestselling Books of the Week, According to All the Lists
⚓ Books 📅 2025-09-25 👤 surdeus 👁️ 6There aren’t many books that the biggest bestseller lists can agree on this week. In fact, only one makes it onto all five, and one on four. The bestseller everyone can agree on is Dan Brown’s newest: The Secret of Secrets. If you’re curious about it, you should check out the book club discussion on the Book Riot podcast.
The other new additions to this list are also from familiar authors: Wild Card by Elsie Silver, which is the latest in the Rose Hill romance series, and All the Way to the River: Love, Loss, and Liberation by Elizabeth Gilbert, the newest memoir from the author of Eat, Pray, Love.
This list continues to lack of diversity on many levels, including being disproportionately by white authors. Some Indie Bestsellers you should know about are A Witch’s Guide to Magical Innkeeping by Sangu Mandanna, The City and Its Uncertain Walls by Haruki Murakami, All About Love: New Visions by bell hooks, and Mother Mary Comes to Me by Arundhati Roy.
To get these numbers, we look at the New York Times, both Combined Print & E-Book Fiction and Combined Print & E-Book Nonfiction lists; Amazon Charts, both Fiction and Nonfiction; Publishers Weekly; USA Today; and Indie Bestsellers, Fiction and Nonfiction, both Paperback and Hardcover.
