I’m writing to you from the last day of September, and I am beside myself with excitement to start my October reading. Every year, I set aside books specifically to read in October: horror novels, witchy books, and anything that feels like it is best read amongst falling leaves. This is my favourite reading month of the year, and I have a staggering TBR I want to get through.

October is also Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon, which I’ve been celebrating twice a year every year for more than a decade. It’s a day of snacks and reading with friends, and it’s my personal favourite holiday. I plan to read a lot of books that day, but with the stacks of books I currently have out from the library, it won’t be enough to get through them all!

But before we get into the October TBR, let’s wrap up September. Here’s what I read this month, including one that I consider a big accomplishment to get through.
