The bestseller list looks similar to last week, but we do have a few additions. First are a couple of new releases by authors who have been on the list many times recently: The Intruder by Freida McFadden and Mate by Ali Hazelwood. Then we have two authors who first appeared on bestseller lists many years ago: Shadow Ticket by Thomas Pynchon and Twice by Mitch Albom.
This list continues to have a lack of diversity on several levels, including being disproportionately by white authors. Some Indie Bestsellers you should know about are The Loneliness of Sonia and Sunny by Kiran Desai, Good Things: Recipes and Rituals to Share with People You Love by Samin Nosrat, and The Lion Women of Tehran by Marjan Kamal.
To get these numbers, we look at the New York Times, both Combined Print & E-Book Fiction and Combined Print & E-Book Nonfiction lists; Amazon Charts, both Fiction and Nonfiction; Publishers Weekly; USA Today; and Indie Bestsellers, Fiction and Nonfiction, both Paperback and Hardcover.
