 The Housemaid by Freida McFaddenFreida McFadden, a practicing physician, has become an immensely popular thriller writer thanks to BookTok and the popularity of twisty thrillers. Her psychological thriller, The Housemaid, currently has almost 3 million ratings on Goodreads. The film adaptation, hitting theaters on December 19th, follows Millie after she accepts a live-in housemaid job for a wealthy family where secrets abound. It’s directed by Paul Feig (Spy, Bridesmaid, A Simple Favor) and stars Amanda Seyfried, Sydney Sweeney, Brandon Sklenar, Michele Morrone, and Elizabeth Perkins. You can watch the trailer here. |
