Velopack is a program that creates Windows installers, Linux AppImage files, and MacOS applications. There's a Rust crate, so that if you call it at the beginning of main(), it checks for an update and installs that.

Does anybody use this? Is it any good? Does it create security problems? Phone home to some server not yours?

(I'm still using Inno, which is almost 30 years old, but will work under Wine, allowing creating a Windows installer on Linux.)
