We all know that ponytown and their servers don't have... The best people playing in them. I can safely bet probably every server has issues. But then it made me wonder; why aren't there more mods?

They have hundreds of people paying them every month. I'm in the server and the amount of people in each tier has at least 100 members, and there's way more that just don't show up because they're offline. I even calculated how much they'd get from the people just online while I was looking and?

Tier 1 = 143 members / 429 a month
Tier 2 = 412 members / 2472 a month
Tier 3 = 255 members / 3060 a month
Tier 4 = 267 members / 6408 a month

Which in total, is $12,369 altogether. This isn't counting people offline mind you, and I can safely guess it might be more like $15,000 and maybe even more since this was only 1077 members online when the discord has 7493 members in total. The reason why I think it's above $15,000 is because even if 5000 of those members were in tier 1, it'd make $15,000, and obviously not every member is just tier 1, a majority of them are in tier 2 (at least from the ones that are online now). So, either way it's above $15,000. If we were to believe that every tier has at least.... Like. 500 members, then the following would be how much it would make for the ponytown team if true.

Tier 1 = $1,500 monthly

Tier 2 = $3,000 monthly

Tier 3 = $6,000 monthly

Tier 4 = $12,000

Total = $22,500

MIND YOU. This probably might even be the actual count; this is just if each tier has 500 players. But as I said, there's 7493 members, and 500 each tier only makes up 2000, leaving an extra ~5000. It can very likely be way higher. My guess is maybe $28,000 or more monthly.

Now. With this in mind, why not hire around.... 10 mods that can swap between moderating servers. Mods that can speak Russian can supervise the Russian servers, Spanish and Portuguese speakers can supervise the Spanish/Portuguese servers, and so on. You can keep the email report system, but instead just make it so if mods aren't online in your server, you can use it to get a mod there. They have money to pay them, that as much is already covered for. This isn't also counting people who will just do it for free, I know of many people who would help ensure ponytown is safe without any pay.

All in all, I made this post as a way to try and get across how weird it is there's no real development in ensuring safety for a game that is admittedly, a hellscape of horrid activity with a lot of gross players that aren't held accountable, in a game with numerous minor players (despite the fact they have money for it.). My goal for this post is to try and get people to discuss their thoughts.

Another reason why I made this post is due to the fact I'm just really, really tired with the way ponytown is going. It feels like early Roblox all over, where someone was always either close to coming close to danger or being in active danger while nothing was done even if they had the money and resources to get rid of (at least) a lot of it. Did Roblox fix this? No, the way they went through to try and 'fix it' was shit and just made it easier for people to end up in more danger, but the point still stands. I've loved ponytown ever since I found it in 2021, I hope it the best, but I also do feel deeply for the lack of protection given both to kids, and in general the lack of consequences for creeps on the platform.
