Over the past few years that I’ve played Ponytown, I have never heard anything good said about their Moderation team—even now. But what I have heard is people talking about how shitty they are. And appearently this is a widely known issue and shared experience between many Ponytown players!

I get the moderation team is small, I really do. But do you think it should take over 9 months just to get an email back in response to a report? Or to have your emails get purposely ignored? Or to watch literal predators be able to play freely and nothing be done about it? That shouldn’t be acceptable, like at all.

And again, this is appearently an experience that many people have complained about going through! And recently I’ve been pissed off about it just a little too much.

In fact, recently, disregarding every single report I’ve made over the past year—just one managed to piss me off the most. I sent a report about someone cosplaying Epstein and telling young users to “come to their island”, even going as far as to hit on them despite the fact that the other user shared that they were a minor. Can you guess what the email was that I got in response to that report? The report that I sent days upon days ago? If you said nothing, you’d be correct!

As a moderation team for a game hosting thousands of players, it should be your job to make sure your game maintains a safe environment—especially in places like the safe server. And this is also especially considering the fact that you know young children play this game.

And climbing higher ranks here, if you KNOW your moderation team isn’t doing their job—which let’s be honest with ourselves for a second, they KNOW, especially with all of the complaining that players do about the moderation team—then do something about it. It’s not only unprofessional for your moderation team, but unprofessional for Ponytown as a collective.

Listen to your community when they’re telling you something is wrong. Because it’s getting tiring, and people are tired of waiting for improvement that will never come.
