I just recently started playing the game and I'm a little confused by the booping culture when it comes to the area near the boat where people advertise their role play island things.

I was sitting over there, and I saw someone said "boops will be ignored". Why? Is booping lazy? Annoying? What am I supposed to say if I want to join and they want me to "whisp" them..?
