So I have a friend and they're cool enough, but whenever we hang out they always want to do super long hangout sessions, and they're almost always online- and if I set my status to online, which I sometimes want to do for other friends, they find me and start up a convo.

I don't want to remove them and block them permanently, but I want some space and to feel like I can show myself as online again when I want to without the pressure. But when I click them, my only options seem to be blocking or fully hiding, and if I click fully hide for x amount of time, it says it'll remove them from my friends list.

Is that temporary or not? Is there any way around it?
